True basis for joy.

Joy doesn't come from within!
It comes by faith in God, that the promises he made to us through Jesus Christ are true, and unending.

Real meat, real drink

What a wonderful repast is fed at the Masters Table, (the Bible). I take the "tary" part in Acts as serious business. His Word is "real meat and real drink." No one can tary at His table without receiving special blessing and revelation for their efforts, as did I so far this month. Rich, deep, revelation that only comes from the Holy Spirit.
Just to let you know what this effort entailed to receive such rich bounty: completing the New Testament 3X+ since Jan 1, 2017.
If you only feed on this worlds food you will only feed the body. But if you feed on Gods Word then you will feed the spirit and God will lead you into a continuing revelation of Jesus Christ, maturing the babes and strengthening the mature. I realize my need for that.
My plan is to cover the entire Bible 3-5 X and the New Testament 15 - 20 more times this year, with Revelations another 10 x's above all other completions already mentioned.
Some of you who don't understand this kind of application really don't understand the spirit realm in which we actually participate in.
If you did you would find, seek, and acquire, your Hope, Strength, and Faith at His table, again, His Word.
"His Word is Spirit", "who understands the mind of man but the spirit of man," and "who understands the mind of Christ but the Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit."
Many play the "religion game" to gain some sort of satisfaction for their existence, but that only pacifies their actions.
Real spiritual, (Scriptural) Faith and communion with God brings value, use, and priority to an individuals life so that they can "glorify" their Father in Heaven, not just survive here in this life time.
I judge no one and whatever practices they find satisfying, but I do always challenge myself to draw closer to God on that spiritual level, but, by faith, I also expect that God would perform His Word in me as stated in Scripture. "let God be true and every man a liar." Romans 3:4 is the perfect explanation for my faith in His Word. He has given all believers the same promises I read in His Word, but who believes to the "practicing" of them? We all have the same Word but we don't all have the same faith to put them into action.
"Let God be True" means that we are all liars in either thought, word, or deed, depending on what we do with God's Word.
Is His Word only a help in time of need, "though I walk through the valley of darkness", or is it our "rock and our strength" always and all ways. Is His "thoughts always in our minds and brought into submission to the mind of Christ?" if they are then we will not remain powerless to the evil we battle in the spirit realm. Sickness, disease, depression, hopelessness, and fear, will all take back seat to the much used name of Jesus, that name above all names, wherein every knee must bow, both in heaven, and earth and below the earth. By His stripes we are healed, by His death and Resurrection we have the victory over death and the devil.
He lives as do we by His power and victory for us.
All this is worth the extra effort that we will sacrifice to make spending time in His Word so that we will have the Holy Spirit directing us "through this vale" while we do the things Jesus did, and more, because He is with the Father in Heaven, ever making intersession for us.
His Word is real meat and real drink. It's ok to be a glutton at His table......in fact it is the only place to be a glutton and a wine bibber.
I'll take my place there, as you can tell by my girth that I have already overstayed my place at this worldly table.
God bless and keep.

What is life all about?

So many philosophies to answer the question:
What is life all about?
The only true answer comes from reading the Bible!
Confess Jesus as Lord.
Be filled with His Holy Spirit,
Be led by that Spirit,
Serve God.
All else will "fall short of the glory" that He intends for us to accomplish in His name.
You may say: "I don't understand? What do you mean or how do you do this?"
Again, line 3 works well for the answer!
Reading is Feeding.
He, (His Word), is real food, real drink, so just read, This simple act will lead you to accomplish line 4-7.
My suggestion is is to start with the Gospel of John, then the epistles of John 1, 2, and 3. After that the Book of Acts. Reading these 5 books several times in a row will bring your spirit alive and answer a lot of questions that you may have from: "Who is Jesus, to how does the Holy Spirit come to you, and what does He do."
I guarantee that you will not cover these books many times (suggested 10 to start), before you will begin to have a Revelation of Jesus Christ.

I always start my reading with a simple prayer:
"Lord bless this reading with your wisdom and understanding, write it on my heart, and bring it to recall, in accordance with Your will, convenient for this day."
That will invite the Holy Spirit in to "guide you, and remind you of all that Jesus said and taught" so that we can "Glorify our Father in Heaven", as He did walking this earth.
The more you read Scripture, the more you "feed" on the Word of Life. The more you grow in Christ, and make yourself more valuable for the Masters use.
That's what "life is all about."
I challenge you to "test" this application for 30 days and see if there is anything said here that is false.
May the Lord lead and guide you, in Jesus name!
God bless and keep.

A new day rising...........

We are living in a new day:
Protest means riot,
Disagreement means malice,
Opinions reflect hatred,
Expressions are rife with intolerance,
The Lie has replace Truth on all levels of society,
Good is shown to be evil,
and Evil is accepted as good.
Just a reminder:
Satan is the father of all the above.
God is the Heavenly Father of Love,
Love never fails.
Who is the Father or father of your of your participation in these?
You know,
God knows,
We witness your choice.

Our hope

What's on my mind?
Love, Joy and Peace in the Holy Spirit. This has been the general theme for the last couple of days.
With our lives/world in such turmoil there has to be a "safe haven" for us to rest in, and that haven is God.
It's easy enough to get swept away with all the media lies and "prominent peoples personal", (say that real fast 5 x), opinions, along with any personal difficulties that are happening in our own lives. We must have a "refuge" that's always loving, always forgiving, and always available for us to run to and find solace.
My safe haven is in Christ who has never failed me yet, even though many of my "visits" to this Heart were needed because of self imposed problems.
These times let you know who has your heart and thereby hope. Is it this surreal world we live in, (the one that right now is so troubled), or is it our Heavenly Father, (who knows and holds the future)?
So the question that need to be asked is: Who or what is real enough to you that you put your hope and trust in, or how much comfort and hope do you get from your choice? There is only one choice here that satisfies all our needs for Love, hope, and peace, that choice is God the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Think about this when you think about "the times we live in."
Think about this when the "fear of the future sets in."
Think about this when "trials and tribulations manifest themselves."
Life is full of "obstacles".
God is full of Love and Grace.
Love to all,

Loss, comfort.

Hard week! Questions, sleeplessness, sorrow, all culminating in where we are at this moment. Taking comfort in some old gospel songs sung by one of the "greats." Amazing how passion, pain and the gospel can give hope and bring joy. Worshiping the True and Living God can redeem one from grief and comfort the aching heart. It's there that we have hope and relief with His presence filling the hole left behind. Loss of a loved one can set the spirit low but Jesus came to give wings to the broken hearted so we can fly to His bosom for comfort.
Isaiah 40:31
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
1 Peter 5:7
"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
Those who are partaking in this event/loss we hope this post will bring you comfort and help ease the pain. Here is a worship song that will complete this post:
