O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counseller?

I constantly marvel at the Word of God, it's depth and it's compatibility across all of it's writing. From Genesis 1:1 to Revelations 22:21 there is no conflict in anything that it teaches, commands, or presents. It is perfect just like it's Author. That being True we can speak it, teach it, and preform it (by the Holy Spirit) with the utmost confidence that it "will not come back void". This is God's promise that would eliminate "mans" attitude for "presentation" whether it be for His Glory or in mock. God created man being well aware of our hearts and all the evil that they would contain over the millennia of our existence, therefore He "vouchsafed" His Words authenticity by sealing it with a body which is Jesus
Christ. As no one can "change" the visage of Jesus Christ, so no one can change the Word of God which became "His flesh", thereby sealing its "immutability" by the very Godhead's representation to creation "till Kingdom come." 

What then stands between the "forming" of God's Word into flesh (Jesus Christ) "in the beginning" and today? Not just man but the heart of man which is so easily deceived by vanity and pride. God promises us "Spiritual wisdom" if we have the simple discipline of "Loving God!" Again "He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." So the immutability of His Word is proved by the fact that it can only be "illuminated" upon by the teaching of the Holy Spirit, not the unassisted searching of the "mind of man." Read below one of many Scriptural proofs:

1 Corinthians 2:9-13

Rather, as it is written:“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.”a

10But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him? So too, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.

14The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment. 16“For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct Him?”b But we have the mind of Christ.

As we have read already in 2 Corinthians 10:4-6, 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Our weapons are not carnal but spiritual to the pulling down of our "vain imaginations" and everything that "exalteth itself against the knowledge of God." The vainest of all imaginations is that we can have "spiritual knowledge" without the Holy Spirit; using only our "carnal mind" through self guided studies. Whether in study or out, when it comes to the Word of God we cannot leave out the "influence" of the Holy Spirit. 13"And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words." Alas too many have based on the presentation of "divine diplomas" gained at "divine universities" to prove that "divine knowledge" is to attend their words when they speak or teach. Clearly in every verse represented above it takes the Holy Spirit (the mind of Christ) to give us the true attitude and expression of the intent of Scripture. If Holy men led by God wrote the Scriptures, then it will take Holy men led of God to "expound" the Scriptures. No form of carnal mind of man, regardless of all his crutches (Greek, Hebrew, or other helps), can get the smallest truth's out of His (Living) Word and make an accurate deliverance of His Holy Word. If you believe that any statement above is false then you need to read how to cast "down every (vain) imagination" and bring it into "submission/captivity to the obedience" of Christ." His Word is the knowledge of God, His Word is the "Word that became flesh (Jesus), His Word is Truth, and His Word cannot change! So if you have an argument against the above take it up with the Author in a quite place through prayer. 

As "no: eye, ear, and heart can imagine" the good things that God has for those that Love Him, even that can only be revealed by "His Spirit!"

Read: 12We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE SPIRIT OF GOD IT'S BECAUSE YOU DON'T SEARCH FOR HIM DILIGENTLY so as to receive His reward, then don't pretend because you "worked so hard" and that makes your exhortation right. All things come forth from God BY FAITH in God, NOT WORKS, our own efforts. 

Faith produces "REVELATION" through grace as most of the New Testament was written. "Men moved of God by the Holy Spirit", not men "figuring out" Spiritual Truth's with a carnal mind/spirit with the helps of books written by other men. Not to say "others" weren't led by the Spirit in their producing of support books to Scripture, but the only Books written that can be validated as Truth are included in the Bible (as for me KJV, now don't react you can read what you want), and that is the only "Book" that we can all agree on that "the Truth can set you free" in. 

13And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words."

Words taught by God through His Spirit takes the effort of "diligently seeking Him" not "looking up" a good sermon or Sunday School class lesson. Not only that but having the faith and patience to "wait on His timing", so that He can direct our paths, (not just physical), in teaching us what He wants us to know in "His time". We all can benefit by "waiting on the Lord" not rushing ahead or falling behind His will on our daily commune with Him, our Father in Heaven. Of course the "rushing ahead or falling behind" is purely a carnal application as one cannot "fool" or "change your mind" that the Almighty, Omniscient God didn't already know about before "in the beginning" was spoke.

14The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 

Most here would say the "natural man" is unsaved, I would beg to differ. The natural man can be any man that does not "by faith" incorporate God's Spirit in "all his thoughts." Just because you were sealed with God's Spirit at salvation does not mean that you are "by faith" walking "in Him" daily." There by the need for the "baptism in the Holy Spirit" to be tarried for as in the Book of Acts with His disciples. This "baptism" is a separate experience from salvation even though they can both happen about the same time. One (sealed) is to claim you for the Kingdom of God through Christ, the other (baptism) is to empower you to "glorify your Father in heaven." The first is an act of God, the second is a surrendering of ourselves in obedience, (tarry till you receive), till the Holy Spirit "falls upon us full of glory" to serve with power the Living God and to glorify His name. Many say "if you are sealed with the Holy Spirit then He can't be any less or that you don't need any more." 

Ephesians 4:30

"And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption."

One (sealed) is to preserve us, Second (baptized) is to "receive power from on High" to walk in, be led by, imitate His life by, and glorify, our Father in Heaven. It's to be in agreement with the "entire" Word of God, by faith so that He can use us to "prove" His Word is True and that He is the only True and Living God of Creation without question or doubt. No other god can do that, and being complacent with the sealing of His Spirit, makes us useless to His Kingdom except in the articulation that "we are His." "A form of Godliness denying the power there of." 

The disciples hid in the upper room having known the teachings of Christ, walked with Him and believed in Him, being sealed by the Holy Spirit, as we believe that they were saved at the time. But they did not "go out" until they were "filled" with the promised Holy Spirit, having received "that boldness from God." You can sit in a pew all your life with your ticket to the golden roads and never do anything for your Savior. Yes you are saved and sealed but unless you receive the "baptism" you cannot go out with power to prove His Words are True and His claim of being "the only Living and True God." 

God always meant faith in Him was to be an experience! Period. You experience salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ, then you experience the "baptism in the Holy Spirit" to be endued with power from on high," then you experience "walking in the Spirit" as Jesus did, hearing Gods voice and speaking the same and seeing Him do His works and doing the same. It's the experience of "walking as Jesus walked, doing the things He did and greater things." 

Look around your church next time you are there together with the believer's in Christ who attend. Don't judge but how many are expressing the "joy of the Lord?" How many have something to praise God about? I'm not talking about "whipping the congregation up" to say can I have an Amen? I'm talking about a congregation that has individuals that "met with God during the week and come with something to share about the "manifold goodness of God." Worship services are just that. Worship services wherein the entire participating congregation comes together to share the goodness of our God. The service cannot be any more corporately than what the individuals are at home during the week. 

Again Christianity is an experiential daily walk with Our Father in Heaven through our Lord Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. Personally at home then corporately in our meeting place.

So answer this: What are we adding individually? How is our corporate gathering? Let me tell you that if we are filled with the Holy Spirit during the week then our meetings together will be abundantly filled corporately.

There aught to be a command somewhere that demands that all deacons, pastors, teachers, evangelists, bishops be baptized in and filled with the Holy Spirit. So here comes the "by their fruits ye shall know them" verse. Not fruits of there own admission, but "by two or three" shall it be established. Anyone who is baptized in the Holy Spirit will need no introduction. God will introduce him. He cannot hide. He is sanctified for the Lord's use and his Love and life will prove out his calling by that "self same Spirit." Oh by the way there is such a command it's in the Book of Acts. Every would be leader that was instrumental in launching this "faith in God through Jesus Christ" was told to "tarry till they receive the baptism from on high." If good enough for them it's still good enough for us.

So lets wrap this up.

Are we diligently seeking Him so as to gain His reward?

Have we tarried for His Spirit?

Do we have the Mind of Christ?

Are we teaching, preaching, leading, evangelizing empowered by His Spirit?

Do we only rely on "my Word will not come back void?" Or do we speak "led of the Holy Spirit?

What are we going to do with "our vain imaginations" about how hard "we" work on our presentation?

Is our practice still to "lean on our own understandings?"

Have other "writings" taken precedence over the Word of God?

"As for me and my house we will serve the Lord."

I assay to know nothing but by the Spirit of God.

Follow up to Healing through Word of Knowledge

It's been since 5-10-19 that God through the 700 Club gave a Word of knowledge about someones knees were being healed. As I said I claimed that Word. This is the follow up to that:
Since this miracle happened my knees have been great. The effort needed to walk (especially uphill) is almost negligent, and stairs are getting better everyday. I have noticed that my knees are fine on every wise but it's my legs/muscles that are weak from lack of exercise. I have prayed over them and began exercising them and the improvement is quickly gained.
I have several backpack sprayers that are 4 gal. and in the past (before the healing) if I went down to the ground with one on I could not get back up without crawling to a solid means of something to pull myself up on. The other day I walked the property spraying weeds and insects having filled the sprayers several times and didn't notice till I was done that all the walking was effortless. Because of the lack of resistance (do to the healing) I wasn't as exhausted and could thereby do more. I have not known this much freedom of movement since I was in my 30's.
Praise God for His unspeakable gifts!

Divine Healing by Word of Knowledge

Through out the 37 years of our Christian walk Elise and I have witnessed Divine Healing for ourselves and others in a variety of ways. In the beginning healing's and divine manifestations including signs and wonders were very common including "raising the dead" (not as common). 

So lets stop here and allow for those who do not believe in these manifestations "for today" to hit the close button and "not sin" by controversy or argument. All that I write is true and I can't apologize nor disclaim what has happened in our lives because "someone else" hasn't experienced the same things. 

Pretty much a list of most of what we have experienced is written on our blog jerroldcavasin.blogspot.com and at this time 292 entries, some about Elise as we journeyed through her affliction, but most about divine interventions, healing, casting out demons, and other signs and wonders. These are those that came to mind to write about, many are still not "set to pen" at this time, and if the Lord wills they will in the future.

So today's entry:

The 700 Club has been our "default" show for some time now, (they were around when we first received Christ) and at the end they would have prayer with a prophetic Word as to different types of healing/deliverance's  that were taking place by the hand of God at the time of showing. It is expedient to mention "at the time of showing" because some of the shows are aired and re-aired at differing times but the Word of God is True, and if it is the Word of God then it will be equally powerful and effective each showing. I will interject again that whether or not you agree is your privilege and choice. Everything of God is by faith.

What I am going to do here is to exercise my faith as to what happened by "speaking it" to affirm what took place. Of course the "other" part of "believing and receiving" is the part where you get up and walk or do what is necessary to prove what has been done for you.  

Last night Elise and I caught the end of the show during the prayer of faith. During the prayer of faith, with the Holy Spirit moving, Robertson said that everyone with a problem should place their hands on the area to receive healing. I did so with my knees as they are one of my "thorns" due to the abuse (my fault) that was common to the trade. As I did that he spoke a Word of Knowledge about someone who God was healing that had to very bad knees. I took that as including me so I said "I receive that Father according to your will". There was no shaking, warming, tingling, or any physical experience, (which does happen at times), but a sense of certainty in my spirit that God had met that need. After the program was over I got up from the couch without any resistance, stumbling or effort but a certain freedom that I had not had before. Today (the following morning) I walked down the outside stairs as normally as I did years ago without anything but a bit of apprehension (as I have had for years before because of them), and reached the bottom with praise and thanksgiving. 

So far between the time of healing and the posting of this writing there has been many attacks on my spirit and mind as to whether or not healing actually happened, I say and claim that it has with rejoicing and will continue to "walk by faith" therein. Another note: when I was driving my car into Henderson to have it worked on I was in a humble state worshiping God with thanksgiving and weeping, rejoicing in God our Savior for His most excellent gifts. During that time I noticed an ease in my breathing that was not there before. Having worked in the so called "black smoke" industries, (blast furnaces, coke ovens, boilers, smelters, ect) this usually has a demising effect on the lungs and bronchial tubes. Do to the fact that there could be no other reason for this positive change, I took it as part of the blessing that came with worshiping God with deep humility. Another miracle.

Many Christians have there own thoughts on how God works in situations that are out of our hands such as mentioned above. So do I. One thing God has taught me threw this affliction with Elise is that He does things His way. Period. Whether we understand them or not. Prayer has been answered for people in a "death coma"with no more guidance than someone asking for it to be done. Sometimes there is a "Word from the Lord" prompting the prayer to be made. There can be a 100 different ways for God to get our attention to "get the job done", but the key is to be sensitive to the wee small voice and then obey. You will never "miss the mark" if you are "praying without ceasing" looking to "glorify your Father in Heaven." 

So now an update on the last visit Elise had to the neurologist. MRI shows no new or noticeable regrowth in comparison to the MRI taken before this one 3+ months ago. There still is a lot going on with her meds and weaning her off them as soon as it is safe to do so is our new priority. Prayer still needed to finish the med/doc applications. "He whom the Son sets free is free indeed."

Spousal Love vs Time

Many times I write about the relationship Elise A. Cavasin and I have and how that is "honored" each and every day. We both love each other and have been building this relationship every day since 1972. 
The Bible says that "Love never fails" and so it has been here. 
But what most of you don't realize is that aside from our son Jerry there really is seldom anyone else here with us. 
Our family (sons and daughters, spouses) visits when they get the time, and some do so sacrificially, but in the course of the year it's a very small number of days overall.
Of course their leaving (for work and just general life) is a great loss, but leave they must just as it is when we visit them.
Here is the point:
Most of the time we are just here ourselves. Most of our time is spent with just Elise and I at the table, in the yard, doing the chores, eating great meals and meats. 24/7. If we weren't so Unconditionally in Love with each other there might be an irritation being in that situation day after day. But not so with us. I wake up in the morning with a smile waiting for her to wake up and look over at me so I can smile and wave at her. I get up, meet her in the kitchen asking what she wants for breakfast! She asks what my plans are. We sip coffee, chat, eat, then head off to our prospective chores. We always either work together or meet up for a snack, wine, and as always, unending conversation. We both realize that what we have is just each other the majority of the time. Problem.........No way! We have each other and with that in place through Love we complete each other.
God, from the first time we met, marinaded us in Love so that by the time we arrived at this time in our lives we could live,share, and appreciate these times.
How many can honestly say that?
I don't have to leave her for some activity that sets us apart "for a break", or she doesn't have to "go out" shopping or on her own to "have her space" for a while. We are completely happy just being together, all the time. I have many times ended a note or post to her like this: "I Love you always, and all ways", that covers it all. "All ways", every way that Love can be expressed, thought, word and deed, and "always", forever throughout this creation in time.
This statement covers every intimate action (anything that has to do with life together), without breaks, space, other separate interests, absolutely the need for any separation is eliminated by Love, joy, and peace with each other.
I guess I mean a "God Love" for each other that enforces respect, honoring, caring, proving to each other the preciousness we have for each other.
Because God taught us about Love (by/through Jesus Christ), forgiveness (by God through Jesus Christ), and hope (through Jesus Christ) we can "co-habitate" without interruption of time with each other.
Life is good.
Love is better.
Life with Love is best.

Update on Elise 1-24-19

It's been a while since I posted anything about Elise's condition and it's progress.
She has been doing well as to function but still suffering side effects of either medications or lack of movement for such a long time. By lack of movement I don't mean that she is bed or chair ridden but that due to lack of movement in the recovery months she has lost a lot of core and back strength. On top of the meds having the side effect of "back ache" there is the normal pain of getting "back to it" with house hold chores, which she desperately wants to do but there in is limited. Right now she has been suffering an almost acute back ache in the small of her back and along her pelvic bone when she sits, stands, lays down, gets up, or twists. The pain is most of the time momentary to the action but some days her pelvic bone is sore too. The last couple of times she was in for blood work this pain was ignored by the medical staff.
She has been off of the Lovenox (shots to her belly for clots), for 2 weeks now and the bruising and hardness is quite a bit better. She is still quite sore there and we are told it could take up to 4 more weeks to completely heal up and shrink back down to normal. Then we can start working on restoring her core.  At least that's one med she is finished with. Our goal is to get her off them all hopefully as soon as we safely can.
Her general condition is great when it comes to cognitive skills and being able to work around the house. Because of her back and sides she is having issues bending down or squatting so I do all that "lower" stuff for her. Picking up things that get dropped, moving anything to heavy for her, just being by her side for whatever she needs to keep her comfortable without limiting her progress. She doesn't need to be walked around any more and her headiness is all but done with. Also her head scar and fall bruise is not causing any pain much any more. Pretty much back to normal as she was last January, 2018 before we knew she had a tumor for ability.
Tomorrow we start a new phase in her restoration, seeing a neurologist in Nashville. We were supposed to have a comparative MRI done on Jan 5/19 to compare to the one that was done after the operation but that got fouled up in the arraigning between the Mayo Clinic and the Center in Nashville. We are back on track and expecting the same good results that we had previously, with God's intervention, at the Mayo. "He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it" is where our faith lays. We are praying that the doctor we are going to see will also have the same application as we do, and that is to get her back to "living life" normally as soon as it is safe to do so. More on this when we finish with the consultation.
Well that's as up to date as it can get.
Regardless of tactics we are still trusting and praising God through Jesus Christ for all the healing that is take place and will take place.

Mature content not taught much in the church anymore.

For the mature only!

Mature in heart, mind, and spirit. You've been warned.

Biblical subject matter that is often overlooked in the church.

As Elise and I have traveled this "vale" together these last 46 years we have been asked many times, "How did you make it so long together"?

The answer is simple: Never let "any" of the aspects of True Love fail.

What are these aspects?

1. Verbal True Love. The art of speaking Love to your spouse.

2. Active True Love. The art of doing Loving things.

3. The thoughts of Love. "As a man thinks in his heart so is he". Thinking thoughts of True Love towards your spouse will turn into actions and words of Love.

4. Attitude of True Love. Attitudes are decisions that have already been made. For every attitude there is the "like" response.

5. Motive of True Love. Now here is one of the most important aspects. Spouses always seem to question the "why or what for?" of the application to ensure True Love. They know that if there is any "self gratification" attached to any of the aspects then True Love isn't the real reason, just an excuse to "get something".

One of our therapist at the Mayo Clinic (a young woman) who was getting married asked Elise and I what the secret was to our successful marriage? The answer was "you never let True Love die", you "keep it alive". She looked fascinated that the answer was so simple. Whatever you do in the beginning do all through your life together and True Love will continue to grow.

True Love only die's when no one tries!

Or one or both give up on being "infatuated".

Remember when you first started "going out?"

Remember when you couldn't wait to see each other?

Remember when your heart sunk when you couldn't spend time together no matter what the reason?

Remember the agony of "going home" at the curfew time?

How about those hugs, sweeter than cherry pie kisses, and the smell of her hair?

Ok, so for many of you I am disseminating into the physical side of True Love.

Well believe it or not that was (and should still be) a very important factor in Tue Love's continuance. Believer or non believer that's God's design (for procreation) to get things started and to keep it going. I think it's perfect that God designed that much enjoyment only to "carrying on" His progeny.

"Becoming one" is the sum of: spirit + mind + soul + and body. If one is missing then "we have a problem".

Many believers have a problem with any affirmation of "and body".

Did you know that "becoming one" "defrauding not one another" breaks Satan's power of temptation over you?

1 Cor 7:5

Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

1 Cor 7:4

The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

Humble instructions for those who wish to become one. I can with assurety say this: You have "reserved" yourselves for each other till death do you part, so spend every time together "mastering" one another. Remember the servant parable? He who is servant is greatest of all? If you serve one another "selflessly", for the others gain, every time, there will be no need for "power over the others body" to come into play.

A pure, selfless, True Love (Unconditional Love) "shared" between spouses will produced some of the best "benefit's" of countenance and spirit that can be gained in this life.

Here are a few:

A true smile.

Radiant countenance.

Joy unspeakable.

A spiritually produced glow.

Less complaint.

A sense of completeness.

Not sorry to say that this is God's design for the becoming one process.

Now does this become ineffective as we get older? Not at all! What about if this is no longer in play? Start playing that tune again. Start with the 5 points shown above as a precursor. Who can resist that?

Again remember "in the beginning"? Nothing has changed except you! Age has nothing to do with it. Showing and receiving True Love does.

That's why I am ending with this song. When it first came out several of our children mentioned that they wrote a song about us. Compliment accepted!

As Mikey (on the old Life cereal commercial) would say: "try it you'll like it."
