You are precious!

Sunday morning revelation:
Did you ever consider why mankind is so precious, valuable? Why all our efforts as "man" strive for continuance, preservation. I believe that it's found in Genesis 2:7. In this intimate account of man being created by God it was made obvious for the first time to me.
God didn't "form" man out of some precious mineral such as diamond, or metal such as gold or silver, in fact He didn't form us out of anything in His creation that has value.
He formed us out of the "dust of the ground." The most basic and simple commodity in creation. A very humble beginning. Not like the other parts of creation that He spoke into existence with His Word, calling then forth from things that did not exist, but with the humble "forming" from the dust.
So then what did He do to give us this preciousness, priceless value that we have all inherited?
Genesis 2:7
"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
"He breathed into mans nostrils the breath of life."
No other object did God do this for.
All other creatures were "called" into existence/life, man was "formed" by Gods hands, (the first personal intimate touch of God in the creation process), then "breathed" into life, (the first and only time God brought to life anything in His creation by the breath of life that was His), making man (and only man) "in His image and likeness."
For no other reason than that you are valuable.
For no other reason than that you are precious.
Because He created us so, in His image and likeness, formed with His own hands, breathed in by His own breath of life, we have value above all the rest of creation.
He declares you priceless, precious, and beyond value, something that no one can take, bully, demean, from you, as you have within you His breath of life and His fingerprints on your being.
If you ever "felt" that you weren't important, or that no one cares for your life or situation this is proof otherwise.
God loves you so much as to redeem you with the sacrifice of His Son so that His "fingerprints and breath of life" will return to Him.
God bless and keep,
Love
