I am always reminded about the presence of God in my life by His Holy Spirit no matter where I go or who I speak to. His desire to meet the needs of others and encourage them, (let alone me), is beyond imagination.
I was at the bank today doing some business with the teller when a thought took hold and words were spoken the which I could of never put together myself.
The loan officer was present along with 2 other tellers and some other support person. I felt impressed to say some completely unrelated things that, given by the Holy Spirit, did minister so deeply to my teller that everyone there (knowing her situation, not I), began to give glory to God for His ministering to her needs. After she had finished the transaction the others marveled at the presence of God there and the teller leaned against the wall and quietly wept.
Then it was time to thank God for the way the Holy Spirit can use us when we least expect it and I told them so. The chance was then given to speak of the necessity of being filled with the Spirit so He can use us at His will to minister to one another.
Everyone there agreed. Each one going back to their cubical with a new perspective on what God will do through us all if we "hear His we small voice,"
I am excited, humbled, and amazed.
God is good all the time.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Pastor Glen has been repeating for a long time about having a spirit of anticipation or expectation. This is not just a catchy phrase but a reality in the Christian walk. He is right in encouraging this practice because the more you do it the greater sensitivity you have to God's presence and Spirit. "God can do exceedingly above and beyond what you can think or imagine." Exceedingly" is the key word here. "All things are possible for those who believe." If you live out your Christianity like nothing will happen then nothing will because it's "according to your faith" that it shall be done. But on the other hand if you wake up every morning asking and expecting God to Glorify His Name then the door is opened to host a "Divine intervention" in your life or someone else's. To many times we ascertain that God is doing some form of small miracle so we look at His intervention that way. That's a lie. Nothing that God does is small or weak. God cannot change who He is nor change His position in Heaven or earth. He is always Lord of Lord's and King of King's. How can the all powerful God preform something small. God is not a man nor does He perform as one. Man is the one that deems things great or small. With God all things are great. Our pastor has been trying to encourage us to "grow in grace and faith" to mature a little more so that our lives can be rich with the presence and power of God through Jesus Christ. God saved us through Jesus Christ so that He can "manifest" the Truth that sets free through us so that "none should perish but all come to eternal life." Do you know that when you come to our worship service, that it can only mirror corporately what each of us do individually all week at home? No worship in our hearts at home, little in the service. No expectation during the week, little in the service. Our meeting together is supposed to amass all our victories during the week and unite them together so that our worship is heightened, joyful and pure. That's when God stretches forth His hand and meets the needs of His people. Then when you leave a service like that God's Spirit is present with you and others (non believers and new believers) can clearly see that there is a difference. Love, Joy and Peace in the Holy Spirit will be shown in your countenance and you will be a choice tool for God's use. If you don't think that you can get to this place on your own then get someone who is living this Christ-style to lay hands on you and pray for you. Remember Scripture: "God rewards those who diligently seek Him", and "If you seek Me with all your heart you will find Me, if you seek me with all your heart." Christ's return is imminent and He is coming for those who "love and long for His return." For those who are "looking up." For those that have a "Spirit of expectation."
God bless and keep.
With all Love, Joy and Peace in the Holy Spirit

"Be ye doers of the word and not just hearers." We need to do more than read the Scriptures, we need to live them. That's God's design for His word. You cannot live them without faith. "Without faith you cannot please God." Read, believe, live and Glorify your Father in Heaven. This blog will contain both the Scriptural insight and application in both teaching and example of "living the Word of God". May it challenge you as it does me in our daily journey.
