The journey by faith through affliction continues.
As the song says : "Each days a new day a new day in the Lord".
It really is. Especially in the area of faith. "You believe in God, believe also in Me (Jesus)". Believing is "putting faith in" the only "One" who can "make a Divine Intervention" in your situation. As I have said this method of "Intervention" is completely new to me and Elise, but none the less God initiated. During this time His hand has been "proved" by the incredible arrangements that has proceeded us throughout the process.
Even though I haven't "sweat blood in prayer" I have wept with a new type of brokenness, intervening with "in Jesus name" hundreds of times while humbly speaking "thy will be done". "My hope is built on nothing less then Jesus blood and righteousness", and "by His stripes we ARE healed" are now common statements in our prayers. In fact we have claimed almost every Scripture having to do with the unchangeable promises of God "for life" to date that we can find. It's by Scripture we "receive" the promises, and "thy will be done" do we know what His will is.
Unconditional Love calls is to Trust in His will, by faith, and then to receive the "end thereof."
Her condition:
Weakness is still a major problem. Her whole body is partaking in this malady. The long stint of a dormant winter, followed by the effects of the tumor, has left her loosing muscle mass and strength.
Rest is the best remedy for this even though it's "short lived". Sometimes it's profound lasting a couple of active hours (shopping), and sometimes it's 30 minutes. Not moving while standing is the hardest as it not only drains her strength but it also brings about pains in her lower joints. Hips and back are the big ones here. They become so sore that it makes her sit down, again defeating the "lets get up and move you'll feel better" axiom.
This affliction has caused us both to weep, me out of compassion and grieving for her, and her out of concerns about family and the future. Weeping with prayer seems to be the answer to "peace in the Holy Spirit". "Weeping endures for the night but joy comes in the morning", this has been a long night, (time of darkness), for us the horizon of which is still a ways off. Still "Light dispels darkness" and we have Light in our souls guiding our way as "the darkness comprehended it not".
We are looking for "Thy Kingdom come,Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven". In His heavenly Kingdom there will be no more tears, hunger, thirst, suffering or pain, no more afflictions whatsoever. "All things are made new". Jesus sent His disciples ahead to proclaim "the Kingdom of God is near", When Jesus arrived at those cities the Kingdom of God arrived through Him. "He whom the Son sets free is free indeed". We believe these promises and will wait on there "coming to pass".
As time draws closer we still anticipate a "Divine Intervention" but will rest in His will if it is to use the medical field.
Regardless faith is the base to receiving all His blessings. As we continue we will share what we are experiencing by faith.
God bless and keep.
Love
Jerry and Elise
"Be ye doers of the word and not just hearers." We need to do more than read the Scriptures, we need to live them. That's God's design for His word. You cannot live them without faith. "Without faith you cannot please God." Read, believe, live and Glorify your Father in Heaven. This blog will contain both the Scriptural insight and application in both teaching and example of "living the Word of God". May it challenge you as it does me in our daily journey.
